Earn extra income from Karaoke!
If you are currently running one Karaoke system you are often missing out on extra income! I bet there are times when you wish you had extra systems (especially on a Friday or Saturday night). Not everyone requires a host either at their party and a " DO IT YOURSELF" system would suffice. Home parties are a typical example when a host is not required. Also, if you think about it there are lots of other items that people require for parties - maybe a mirror ball, disco light or smoke machine. They are going to hire these items from someone - so why not you?

Advertising and marketing can be one of the highest costs for a Karaoke host. As a small business you are probably in the Yellow Pages or local paper and have printed business cards. Adding other hire items and services to your listings will only cost a fraction more but will increase your turnover considerably!

The great thing about making more money is it doesn't cost you a lot! You don't even have to have that much experience either! You can implement small changes over time and grow with your business. For example:

1. Start off with a few lights and offer them to your customers at an additional cost.
2. Offer a DJ service (you already have the basics of a good system).
3. Offer a 1/2 Karaoke - 1/2 DJ night (at a slightly higher price).
4. Add a hire system to your business so when you are booked you can offer an alternative to your customers.
5. Add a sound system - for people who just want music at their party.
5. Create a marketing plan to grow your business.
